When comparing the cost to live at the different senior housing options in the area, be sure you know exactly what is included. All facilities package their services differently.

For example, at Jefferson Manor we include assistance with bathing (twice a week) in the basic monthly rent. This assistance is an additional charge at other places in the area.

In order to provide our residents with the best possible care, we have developed our community using the latest technologies available in the U.S. today. By blending the many technological advances in healthcare we are able to offer our residents the least intrusive model of care delivery available.

Examples of this model include residents and staff wearing name badges containing a personal infrared signal that allows our computer to track the movements of everyone throughout our community. Additionally, these badges act as a first alert. Resident apartments are outfitted with sensors allowing us to monitor weight changes and movement, which helps us monitor sleep patterns. Facility grounds are also equipped with sensors to allow our residents unrestricted access to outdoor spaces.

Family members and resident physicians can track care needs and service delivery through secure internet portals. We believe our residents deserve the best care we can provide in the most socially conscious manner.

Jefferson Manor’s Residential Care

Assistance with “activities of daily living” can be provided to any resident at Jefferson Manor. Activities of daily living include dressing, grooming, as well as assistance with self-medication, transfers, and mobility. Assistance is also available for more complex care coordination or support with health needs.

All residents, prior to move in and at any time during their residency, can have an assessment by the residential care supervisor to determine their service needs and preferences. An individualized service plan is then prepared and discussed with the resident. Services will begin immediately upon acceptance of the service plan.

Service points may increase or decrease as a resident’s needs and preferences change. By using an individualized plan based on service points, the resident only pays for those specific services being provided.
