Receptionist

Summary

The receptionist is often the first person one meets when entering the facility. He/she must be positive, enthusiastic, service and people oriented. The receptionist must meet and greet the public while performing the many office functions necessary to operate the facility. The individual in this position must be organized and very accurate. He/she must be able to work with distractions and able to start and stop tasks as needed to ensure good service is delivered. This person must have good oral and written communication skills. He/she must be able to follow directions accurately. He/she works closely with the manager and assistant manager to communicate necessary information to staff, residents and families. This person is one of the keys to a successful operation.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, have sufficient communication and language skills to enable them to perform their duties and interact effectively with residents and staff.
